10 Years Together: Han River Night Walk Adds Meaning with Visually Impaired Companion Program

The Han River Night Walk, a beloved non-competitive walking festival, marks its 10th anniversary with the "2026 Han River Night Walk WITH Toreta!" event. Scheduled for August 1-2 along the Han River in Seoul, the festival has drawn over 100,000 participants over its decade-long history.

This year's celebration promises a richer experience with a special story exhibition commemorating the 10th anniversary and dedicated photo zones. A highlight is the "Companion Program," where 42 visually impaired individuals will complete the 42K course accompanied by guide walkers, lending profound meaning to the event.

Urban Sports, the organizer, is also introducing a "10th Anniversary Honors Lounge" and exclusive rest areas for participants who have completed the walk five or more times. The event will also feature "10th Anniversary Commemorative Interview Programs" to share the stories of the oldest participant and repeat walkers. Completing walkers will receive a medal and medal hanger, with on-site amenities including air conditioning and food and beverage areas.
