13 Injured in Bus Collision in Şanlıurfa

A collision involving two passenger buses in Şanlıurfa has left 13 people injured. The incident occurred late at night on the outskirts of Siverek district.

The bus involved was transporting citizens back to Osmaniye after they had attended a commemoration event in Ahlat, Bitlis. This event marked the 955th anniversary of the Battle of Manzikert, a significant historical event in Turkish history.

The accident happened when the returning bus rear-ended another passenger bus that was traveling in the same direction. Emergency services, including fire brigades and medical teams, were dispatched to the scene.

Medical personnel provided initial treatment to the injured individuals at the site before they were transported by ambulance to Siverek State Hospital. The injured have been identified as Münir T., Ayşe Ö., Mehmet G., Osman Ö., Ümmühan Ayşe D., Nebi K., Zeynep D., Ömer K., Mehmet Ç., Abdullah Zübeyir K., Fatma G., Şule C., and Eren C. Other passengers who were unharmed in the collision were taken to the city center by a different bus.

An investigation into the cause of the accident is currently underway.
