14-Year-Old Paul Seixas's Motivational Letter to AG2R-La Mondiale Team Revealed

A motivational letter penned by 14-year-old cycling prodigy Paul Seixas, expressing his ambition to join the AG2R-La Mondiale team, has surfaced. The letter, written when Seixas was a junior, reveals his strong desire to advance in professional cycling and his belief that the team could provide the necessary support for his growth.

In the letter, Seixas stated, "For several years, I have watched with envy the riders who have joined your structure. It was one of my goals since I was a 'minime.' Until now, I have never benefited from personalized support, and my entourage does not know much about cycling. I want to go as far as possible in my sport, and I think your structure can provide me with everything I need."

He further added, "My results this year show that I have potential but still have much to learn, and the AG2R-Citroën U19 Team is the best structure for me to progress. Moreover, I dream of competing internationally, and I know that with your team, this would be possible."

Vincent Lavenu, who was involved in signing Seixas, recalled the process. "We integrated him into the junior program when he was only a cadet. We gave him some training camps, a helmet, gloves – things all kids dream of at that age. He was very proud to wear our cap," Lavenu told Le Figaro. He emphasized convincing Seixas's family about the excellent support, including a bike and a dedicated coach, that the young rider would receive.
