19-year-old man suspected of killing girlfriend before dying himself in Hohen Neuendorf

German police are investigating the death of a 19-year-old woman in Hohen Neuendorf, north of Berlin, who was found in her boyfriend's apartment. Authorities suspect her boyfriend, also 19, is responsible for her death.

An autopsy determined that the young woman died from injuries inflicted by "sharp force." The investigation suggests that the boyfriend allegedly killed his girlfriend before taking his own life. He was found fatally injured at a train crossing in Schönfließ on Wednesday afternoon.

Police stated that initial findings point towards suicide for the young man. "No indications of a third party's involvement in the homicide have emerged from the autopsies," a police spokesperson confirmed. Further details were not immediately released by the authorities.
