2 workers killed in AP plastic unit blaze

A devastating fire at a plastic pyrolysis oil manufacturing unit in Andhra Pradesh's Anakapalli district has claimed the lives of two workers and left two others seriously injured. The incident occurred Tuesday at Dakshin Energy, a company involved in recycling plastic waste into oil and carbon black.

Preliminary investigations suggest the fire erupted following an explosion in a storage tank. The blast triggered a massive blaze that rapidly consumed the facility, fueled by the large quantities of plastic material stored on-site. While several workers managed to escape the inferno, some were trapped as flames engulfed the plant.
