2026 YKS university entrance exam results released; base scores for top programs revealed

The university application season is now in full swing for millions of Turkish students after the results of the 2026 YKS (Higher Education Institutions Exam) were announced. Candidates are eagerly reviewing base scores and success rankings from previous years to guide their choices for competitive fields such as Medicine, Law, and Engineering.

For programs admitting students based on the Equal Weight (EA) score type, Law faculties at prominent universities show varying base scores and rankings. For instance, Koç University's Law program (fully funded) has a success ranking of 253 with a score of 510.78, while Istanbul University's Law program has a ranking of 3,275 and a score of 451.25.

In the Numerical (SAY) score category, top-tier Medical faculties also present a range of data. Hacettepe University's English-medium Medicine program has a success ranking of 1,169 and a score of 534.82, whereas Dokuz Eylül University's Medicine program is ranked 7,447 with a score of 508.96.

Computer Engineering, another highly sought-after program for Numerical score applicants, sees top state universities like Middle East Technical University (METU) with a success ranking of 1,204 and a score of 534.56, and Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ) ranked 1,435 with a score of 533.13. Marmara University's English-medium Computer Engineering program is ranked 18,272 with a score of 486.37.

The definitive minimum placement scores for 2026 will be officially published only after the entire 2026 application and registration process is completed.
