2027 hajj: Intending pilgrims to pay N7.88m

Intending pilgrims for the 2027 Hajj exercise in Nigeria will face fares between N7,560,822 and N7,882,822, the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) announced. The fares vary based on departure zones, with pilgrims from Maiduguri/Yola paying the lowest and those from the Southern Zone paying the highest.

NAHCON stated that these approved fares consider prevailing exchange rates and service costs in Saudi Arabia. Pilgrims who have already paid an initial N5 million deposit will need to settle the remaining balance. This outstanding amount ranges from N2,560,822 for the Maiduguri/Yola Zone to N2,882,822 for the Southern Zone.

The commission has set strict deadlines to ensure timely processing. September 26, 2026, is the absolute final date for uploading intending pilgrims' biometric data onto the Nusuk-Masar digital platform. Furthermore, all 2027 Hajj fares must be fully remitted by states by December 2, 2026. NAHCON emphasized that failure to meet these deadlines will result in the forfeiture of allocated Hajj slots, as timely remittances are crucial for data synchronization and seat allocations.
