2027: Kogi Central PDP targets every household, polling unit for victory

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nigeria's Kogi Central Senatorial District has initiated a comprehensive grassroots mobilization campaign in preparation for the 2027 general elections. The strategy focuses on engaging every ward, polling unit, and household within the district.

This campaign must be house-to-house and polling-unit-by-polling-unit. We must reach our people directly, listen to them, engage them and explain clearly why the PDP remains the best platform for the development and progress of our people.

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, leading the party's efforts, officially inaugurated the Kogi Central Campaign Organisation. She tasked the newly formed team with moving beyond traditional rallies to establish direct and continuous engagement with voters. Akpoti-Uduaghan stressed the importance of a house-to-house and polling-unit-by-polling-unit approach to connect directly with the electorate.

"This campaign must be house-to-house and polling-unit-by-polling-unit. We must reach our people directly, listen to them, engage them and explain clearly why the PDP remains the best platform for the development and progress of our people," Akpoti-Uduaghan stated during the inauguration. She also urged party members to welcome new entrants and resolve internal differences to strengthen the PDP's prospects for 2027.

We must open our doors for everyone who wants to join this moving train and this winning team. There is room for everyone who believes in the PDP and in the future we are building for Kogi Central.

Dr. Salami Etudaiye, appointed as the campaign's Director-General, described his role as a "sacred responsibility" and pledged to organize a disciplined and effective campaign machinery. "This is not a ceremonial title. This is a call to battle. I did not accept this assignment to manage a campaign of polite handshakes and quiet meetings. I accepted it to organize a movement," Etudaiye declared. The campaign plans to target key areas including Okene, Adavi, Ajaokuta, Okehi, and Ogori-Magongo, with a specific focus on wards, polling units, streets, markets, campuses, and households.
