2027: Kwara APC Guber Candidate Vows to Continue AbdulRazaq’s Legacies, Seeks Support

Kwara State's All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates have vowed to build upon Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq's legacy, promising to deliver more democratic dividends to rural communities in 2027. The party's governorship candidate and Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, articulated this commitment during a 'thank you' visit to the Kwara Central Senatorial district.

During the visit to the Emir of Ilorin's palace, Danladi-Salihu expressed gratitude to traditional and religious leaders, as well as party stakeholders in Ilorin West and Asa, for their unwavering support. He credited President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the nation's stability and expressed confidence in securing a second term for continued progress and development. "We are here to thank the people of Ilorin West. That is the purpose of coming here today," Danladi-Salihu stated, assuring attendees of the APC's commitment to not disappointing them.

Other party candidates echoed this optimism. Hon Mukhtar Tolani Shagaya, vying for the Ilorin West and Asa Federal Constituency seat, expressed certainty that all APC candidates would emerge victorious in 2027, emphasizing that Kwarans would not opt for regression. Alhaji Abdullateef Gidado Alakawa, Chairman of the Lower Niger River Basin Development Authority, lauded Governor AbdulRazaq's achievements, attributing them to the legislative arm's robust support, particularly from Danladi, whom he described as a grassroots politician with electoral value.
