2027: Kwara APC rallies support for Tinubu, Danladi, and others

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, Nigeria, rallied supporters in Ilorin to celebrate the successful conclusion of its primaries and to galvanize support for President Bola Tinubu and the party's state candidates. The event, dubbed the ‘Kwara Ndupe Rally’, saw a significant turnout of party faithful marching through major city roads.

Leaders at the rally, including the Leader of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Oba Abdulkadri, expressed satisfaction with the large attendance, interpreting it as a sign of unity within the APC. Abdulkadri projected confidence in the party's continued dominance in Kwara State, stating, “The future in Kwara State is APC from top to bottom, by the grace of Allah.”

Senior Adviser and Counsellor to the Governor, Sa’adu Salau, outlined the party's strategy, focusing on issue-based campaigns and door-to-door mobilization. He urged members to prioritize voter registration and PVC collection to ensure electoral victory in the 2027 general elections. Salau highlighted the APC's record of achievements in infrastructure and public services as a key campaign point, contrasting it with the opposition's perceived lack of substance.

This rally must translate to PVC collection, voter registration, and polling-unit victory in February 2027. There must not be complacency.

The state chairman of the APC, Sunday Fagbemi, echoed the sentiment of optimism, impressed by the massive turnout and anticipating a decisive victory. He encouraged aggrieved members to work through party channels for grievance resolution. The rally also served as a platform for various party coordinators, like Abdulateef Alakawa of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, to reaffirm loyalty to President Tinubu and Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, emphasizing that the primary election process reflected the will of the party members.
