2027 Mazda CX-90 gets a major price cut and 10 airbags as standard

Mazda Taiwan has launched the 2027 CX-90 with more equipment across the range and a price cut of up to NT$140,000.

The large SUV continues to use a longitudinal rear-wheel-drive platform, a 3.3-liter turbocharged inline-six engine and a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. The 33T AWD Elite Plus now costs NT$1.719 million, while the Premium is priced at NT$1.899 million and the Premium Captain Seat at NT$2.019 million. Compared with the previous prices, the reductions are NT$80,000, NT$140,000 and NT$100,000 respectively.

Safety equipment has expanded across the 2027 CX-90 lineup. New features include turn-across-path collision assistance, blind-spot lane-avoidance assistance, opposing-lane overtaking avoidance assistance and exit warning assistance. A new front-center airbag raises the vehicle’s total to 10. Higher-grade models also add cross-traffic assistance for complex intersections and lane changes.

The entry-level Elite Plus receives particularly extensive upgrades. It adds ventilated airflow seats for both front occupants, a full-color head-up display projected onto the windshield and Mazda’s See-Through View wide-angle imaging system. The system replaces the existing 360-degree surround-view camera and is intended to improve visibility around the vehicle when parking or driving on narrow roads.

The Premium keeps its Nappa leather, panoramic sunroof, BOSE surround sound and driver facial-recognition personalization system. The top Premium Captain Seat retains six individual seats, with ventilation in both rows. Across the range, output remains 345 horsepower and 51.0 kilogram-meters of torque, with i-ACTIV all-wheel drive, an eight-speed automatic transmission and KPC body control.
