2nd Taiwan-Finland Cultural Festival to feature Meow Group, Lily of the Valley in Helsinki

Taiwan is set to host the second "F:F:F-Formosa : Finland : Fest." cultural festival in Helsinki, Finland, on July 11. This event, organized by Taiwan's General Association of Cultural (Wen Zong), aims to strengthen cultural ties between the two regions.

Following last year's festival, which focused on "metal diplomacy" with heavy metal bands, this year's event will take place in the summer at the Narinkkatori square. It will present a broader spectrum of Taiwanese culture through a "music, food, and culture" trilogy, highlighting the warmth and strength of the island.

The festival will feature a diverse lineup of Taiwanese musicians, including the cyberpunk band Meow Group, folk-rock group Lily of the Valley, DJ N.U.R. (who blends electronic music with Amis indigenous chants), and the cross-cultural music group Taiwania. They will perform alongside prominent Finnish artists such as rock star Jussi 69 and the rock band Shiraz Lane.

For the first time, the festival will include a Taiwanese market, offering popular items like bubble tea and Taiwanese tea and dried fruits. Interactive traditional Taiwanese games, such as ring toss and mahjong bingo, will also be available, creating a vibrant atmosphere. The event is free and open to the public, aiming to foster cultural exchange and understanding.
