3 detained juveniles beat guard to death at Rajasthan observation, juvenile home

A brutal attack at a government observation and juvenile home in Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan, has resulted in the death of a 63-year-old security guard. Three detained juveniles are accused of beating the guard, Sahab Ram, to death with a wooden plank on Wednesday evening.

Ram sustained fatal head injuries during the assault and died at the scene. Police reported that the three juveniles involved are in custody for serious offenses, including two murder cases and one under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. The incident occurred while preparations for Independence Day celebrations were underway.

According to police superintendent Harishankar, Ram was on his way to retrieve tools for repairing a faulty air cooler when the juveniles allegedly attacked him from behind. The motive behind the killing remains unclear, and authorities are conducting a thorough investigation. A Forensic Science Laboratory team has collected evidence from the scene, and CCTV footage is being examined to piece together the sequence of events and determine if others were involved.
