37 Hungarian Athletes Vie for World Championship Medals in Poznan

Hungary is sending a strong contingent of 37 athletes to the World Championships in Poznan, Poland, aiming to secure medals across kayak and canoe disciplines. Coach Dávid Tóth expressed confidence in Zsóka Csikós, expecting her to peak at the right time.

"She is one of those athletes who gradually increase their performance level throughout the year, and I hope her form will culminate now." He also anticipates good performances from the young four-person kayak team and the pair, who have been consistently near the podium.

The canoe team features 12 athletes, with Dániel Fejes having a demanding schedule in the C-1 500m, C-1 1000m, and C-4 events. The C-2 500m pair of Kristóf Kollár and István Juhász, who were world bronze medalists last year, are also expected to contend for medals.

In the women's canoe events, Dóra Horányi joins the lineup for the C-2 200m. Ágnes Kiss and Bianka Nagy are strong contenders in the C-2 500m, and Kiss will also compete in the C-1 500m and the defending world champion C-4 team. Zsófi Csorba is a favorite in the C-1 5000m.
