52 Sokoto youths secure BUA cement skills dev’t jobs

BUA Cement Plc has provided employment opportunities for 52 youths from host communities in Sokoto State, Nigeria, following their successful completion of a six-month training program. The initiative focused on heavy-duty equipment operations and was fully sponsored by the company as part of its corporate social responsibility efforts.

Governor of Sokoto State, Ahmed Aliyu, represented by the Commissioner for Commerce, Trade and Industry, Alhaji Haruna Abbas Bashir, lauded the program at the graduation ceremony. He described it as a "celebration of empowerment, opportunity and hope," emphasizing that skills acquisition is a vital tool for combating unemployment, poverty, and fostering inclusive economic growth.
