“A Fourth Straight Title?” Lee Min-sung Vows to Win Gold Amid Concerns Over Preparation

South Korea’s under-23 men’s football team has begun preparations for a bid at a fourth consecutive Asian Games title, with coach Lee Min-sung promising to win gold.

The team gathered at Korea Football Park in Cheonan on Sept. 1. It was the squad’s first meeting since the final roster was announced on Aug. 9.

Responding to concerns about the possibility of a fourth straight championship, Lee said the period so far had been part of the player-selection process. “It was the player selection process until now. We formed the team with players who can win the gold medal, and we will definitely achieve our goal,” he said.
