A night of honours and performances for Nepali music

The 'Xtreme Energy Drink Presents National Music Awards' transformed The Plaza in Lalitpur into a vibrant hub for Nepal's music industry. The event, broadcast live on Kantipur TV and Kantipur Max, drew a large crowd of performers, guests, and fans eager to celebrate the nation's musical talent.

The evening featured a dynamic lineup of performances, including Deepak Bajracharya and The Rhythm Band, who brought cultural icons like Lakhey and Jhakri to the stage. Sammriddhi Rai energized the audience with her songs and music videos, while VZN delivered a high-energy segment. The event also honored 16 awards, recognizing achievements in various categories.

Notable recipients included Dileshwar Pariyar for Best New Artist, Narayan Kumar Acharya for Best Lyricist, and Nhyoo Bajracharya for Best Music Director. Devi Gharti Magar won Best Lok Singer Female, and Arjun Sapkota took home the male award. Jhuma Limbu and John Chamling Rai were recognized for Best Playback Singer Female and Male, respectively. The ceremony underscored the diverse contributions to Nepali music, from emerging artists to seasoned professionals.
