AAU alumni unveil global fundraiser for records building

The Ambrose Alli University Alumni Association has initiated a worldwide fundraising effort to expedite the completion of its Examination and Records Building. Dr. Clifford Omozeghian, the association's president, stated that the project is crucial for enhancing transcript processing and ensuring graduates can access their academic records more easily.

Omozeghian explained that the completed building, which will be handed over to the university, will primarily benefit alumni seeking employment, further education, or professional advancement. Construction has reached the decking stage, but additional financial contributions from graduates globally are necessary to finish the facility. He emphasized that the project's progress so far is a testament to member commitment, but collective participation is vital for its realization.

The project has come this far because of the commitment of our members. However, we need every graduate of Ambrose Alli University to play a role in bringing this vision to reality.

To encourage donations, the association has introduced four tiers: Diamond (₦101 million and above), Gold (₦51-100 million), Silver (₦1-50 million), and Bronze (₦100,000-999,999). Every donor will have their name permanently inscribed in the building's Hall of Fame. Omozeghian also highlighted the importance of collective responsibility, urging all graduates, regardless of their degree level, to contribute. Donations should be channeled through the association's dedicated account with Zenith Bank, with payment evidence forwarded for documentation.

The alumni president also acknowledged the Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, for his commitment to revitalizing Ambrose Alli University. Omozeghian noted that the governor, as the university's Visitor, has shown a strong determination to restore the institution's original vision. Photographs illustrating the current construction status were released, and Omozeghian expressed optimism for increased support.
