Abia denies fake recruitment, warns public to ignore advert

The Abia State Government has issued a stern warning against a fraudulent recruitment advertisement that has been widely shared on social media platforms. The Abia State Civil Service Commission has officially disclaimed the advert, labeling it as entirely false and urging the public to disregard it.

The attention of the Abia State Civil Service Commission has been drawn to a fake recruitment advertisement currently circulating on various social media platforms, claiming that the Commission is recruiting for multiple positions in the State Civil Service.

Pastor Eno Eze, the Chairman of the Abia State Civil Service Commission, stated that the advertisement falsely claims the commission is recruiting for multiple positions. She clarified that the only active recruitment portal is for Medical Doctors and Hospital-Based Consultants, as approved by the government. No other positions are currently open for applications.

The general public is hereby informed that this advertisement is FALSE and should be disregarded in its entirety.

The commission advised the public to only trust information from its verified communication channels and official website. It expressed regret for any inconvenience caused by the misleading publication and implored those possessing the fake advertisement to cease its circulation. The government aims to prevent citizens from falling victim to such scams.

The only recruitment portal currently open is for the recruitment of Medical Doctors and Hospital-Based Consultants as officially approved by the Government. No applications are being received for any other cadre at this time.
