Abiodun Celebrates Wife at 60, Calls Her 'Woman of Virtue'

Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun honored his wife, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun, with glowing tributes as she celebrated her 60th birthday. He described her as a woman of virtue, compassion, and unwavering faith, highlighting her as an indispensable partner whose steadfast support has been crucial to his life and public service.

I believe that when we think about our lives in terms of the number of days we have lived, and then consider the number of minutes and seconds our hearts have beaten, we are reminded that we must remain accountable to Almighty God.

During a special thanksgiving service held at the Government House Chapel in Abeokuta, Governor Abiodun thanked God for preserving their family over nearly four decades together. He specifically commended his wife for maintaining their home front while he serves the people of Ogun State. The governor also expressed gratitude for their children and the grace that has sustained their family, viewing the milestone as a testament to God's faithfulness.

When I remember that our paths crossed about 39 years ago, I cannot but thank God for how He has preserved us. At the time, I was in Ife while she was at the University of Ibadan. I used to drive to Ibadan to see her. Neither of us knew that one day God would grant us the privilege of becoming the First Family of Ogun State.

Reflecting on their journey, Governor Abiodun recalled meeting his wife 39 years ago when he was at Ife and she was at the University of Ibadan. He drove to Ibadan to see her, never imagining they would one day become the First Family of Ogun State. He emphasized that life's milestones are reminders of accountability to God.

Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun described her Diamond Jubilee not just as a personal achievement but as a divine call to enhance her dedication to service and humanity. Other dignitaries, including the Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly and a former Commissioner for Women Affairs, also lauded Mrs. Abiodun's role as a supportive spouse and a mentor.
