'Absolutely wild': Aussie gymnasts top off golden Games

Australia's golden run at the Commonwealth Games continued as gymnasts Breanna Scott and Jesse Moore clinched individual apparatus titles on the final day of the competition in Glasgow.

Scott delivered a stellar performance on the balance beam, scoring 13.933 points to claim the gold medal. Her victory came just minutes after Moore executed a flawless routine on the parallel bars to secure another gold for Australia at the Glasgow International Arena. Scott's win marked her third medal of the Games, adding to her team all-around gold and individual all-around silver.

Balance beam is definitely my favourite when it's going well. It's kind of crazy, to be honest. It definitely hasn't sunk in yet. The last three days have just been absolutely wild. The team gold was such a special medal for all of us, and that was really the main goal coming into this. All of us in finals now getting these extra little medals is just topping it off.

Moore's gold medal on the parallel bars was a redemption performance after missing the podium in the rings and pommel horse events. He scored 14.000 points, narrowly defeating Cyprus's Marios Georgiou. This victory was Moore's third medal, having previously won team bronze and individual all-around bronze.

Scott described the recent days as "absolutely wild," expressing that the individual golds were a perfect addition to the team's overall success. The Australian gymnastics team concluded their campaign with a total of nine medals, including four gold, one silver, and four bronze. While Canada secured more medals overall, Australia's four gold medals highlighted their strong performance in the sport.
