Abu Dhabi equestrian clubs present the future of racing at ADIHEX 2026

A rider simulator that recreates a horse’s walk, trot and canter is among the attractions at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club and Abu Dhabi Turf Club stand at ADIHEX 2026.

Held under the theme “Heritage in Motion,” the stand at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi presents racing, community initiatives and equestrian technology through digital displays and an interactive racing game. The exhibition runs from Aug. 28 to Sept. 6, 2026, and the stand is located beside the Grandstand entrance.

The clubs are also using the event to preview Abu Dhabi’s 2026-27 racing season. The calendar includes 16 meetings from October to April, with Thursday Race Evenings and two major fixtures. The UAE President Cup is scheduled for Dec. 12, 2026, followed by the Abu Dhabi Gold Cup on Feb. 7, 2027. A 90-second brand film presents the season under the platform “The Home of Racing in Abu Dhabi.”

The Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club’s Therapeutic Riding Programme, delivered with the Authority of Social Contribution - Ma’an and founding partner Mubadala Foundation, offers tailored sessions for People of Determination, older people and vulnerable children. Guided interaction with therapy horses supports confidence, communication, balance and coordination. Visitors can register their interest in participating or volunteering.

The simulator uses more than 30 years of motion analysis from live horses. Sensors measure balance, rein contact and leg pressure in real time, giving instructors a repeatable record of each rider’s progress. Another display presents race-day analytics, including sectional times, speed, GPS tracking, stride length, running order and the distance covered by each horse.
