Abu Dhabi to host FEI Endurance World Championship 2026 at Butheeb Village

Abu Dhabi is set to become the global stage for equestrian excellence as it prepares to host the prestigious FEI Endurance World Championship in 2026. The International Equestrian Federation (FEI) has officially approved the United Arab Emirates' bid, marking a significant achievement for the capital.

The championship will unfold at the Butheeb International Endurance Village, located in Al Khatim, from December 14 to 20, 2026. The pinnacle event, the main race, is scheduled for December 19, promising a week of intense competition and showcasing the endurance and skill of both horse and rider.

This successful bid underscores the UAE's and particularly Abu Dhabi's growing prominence in hosting major international sporting events. The approval by the FEI came after a competitive bidding process, with the UAE's proposal earning the confidence and appreciation of the federation. Major-General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, President of the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation, extended his congratulations, attributing the success to the nation's leadership and the "unlimited support" from His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
