ACAMB launches 30th anniversary with tree planting in Lagos

The Association of Corporate Communication and Marketing Professionals in Banks (ACAMB) has officially commenced its 30th anniversary celebrations with a significant tree-planting exercise. Held on Providence Street in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, the initiative underscored ACAMB's commitment to environmental sustainability while commemorating its three decades of fostering excellence in corporate communications and marketing within Nigeria's banking industry. Despite a heavy downpour, members, including the association's President Jide Sipe and the Registrar/CEO of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, Akin Morakinyo, demonstrated their dedication by planting trees. Representatives from various banks also participated, with each bank having a tree planted and named in its honor. Jide Sipe, in his address, reaffirmed ACAMB's dedication to the banking industry's reputation and growth. He emphasized that the current generation stands on the foundation laid by earlier professionals, with each planted tree symbolizing a promise to continue building credibility and deepening customer loyalty. Sipe highlighted the environmental and economic impact of tree planting, aligning the initiative with the association's milestone celebration. Looking ahead, Sipe unveiled a comprehensive program of activities scheduled to run through September 2026. This includes a Golf and Networking Experience on June 27, 2026, at the Ikoyi Club, culminating in a grand Gala Night on September 30, 2026. The celebrations are designed to mark three decades with both substance and joy.
