Acer unveils ultra-light Swift Air laptops and Iconia Duo tablets

Taiwanese computer manufacturer Acer is expanding its thin-and-light laptop lineup with the new Swift Air series, complementing existing lines like Swift Go and Swift Edge. The Swift Air series offers models ranging from entry-level to flagship, featuring AI capabilities and OLED displays. A key highlight is the 16-inch model, which weighs around 999 grams, achieved through a magnesium-aluminum alloy construction, making large-screen laptops more portable than ever.

The Swift Air laptops are designed with three core pillars: a lightweight chassis, AI smart performance, and OLED displays. They cater to a wide range of users, from everyday document handling to AI-powered creation and demanding professional tasks. The series supports multiple platforms, including AMD Ryzen AI, Intel Core Ultra (Series 1, 2, 3), and the latest Intel Core 3 series. Many models boast 2.8K OLED screens with high refresh rates for vibrant visuals.

Acer is also bolstering its tablet offerings with the new Iconia Duo series. These tablets feature a 3:2 screen ratio, providing more vertical display space for improved reading, note-taking, document processing, and multitasking efficiency. The initial launch includes the 12.2-inch Iconia Duo D12 and S12 models, both powered by MediaTek processors. The S12 comes bundled with accessories like a magnetic stand, detachable keyboard, and stylus, allowing users to switch between tablet and laptop modes.

In addition to new hardware, Acer announced its annual Acer Day promotional event, running from August 3 to September 30. This event offers various summer discounts on specified laptops, desktops, monitors, and tablets. Customers who register their purchases on the event website can enter a lottery to win prizes, including the latest iPhone 18 Pro. Some products also come with instant coupons or extended manufacturer warranties.
