Actress Ana Gruica Uglešić: I sued a newspaper, sought proof of mental anguish, and that's how I met my husband

Croatian actress Ana Gruica Uglešić is featured in a new episode of the show "Show na kvadrat," where she openly discusses various aspects of her life. The interview covers her childhood, modeling and ballet background, acting career, past relationships, and raising her 10-year-old son.

A significant part of the conversation details her new business venture, the Uglešić Health & Care center, which she co-founded with her husband, psychiatrist Boran Uglešić. She also highlights her active community involvement through her humanitarian association, HU Gru, which supports those in need, children, and single mothers.

Uglešić shared a unique story about how she met her husband. She explained that during a lawsuit against a newspaper, a lawyer advised her to obtain a certificate of mental anguish. This led her to Boran Uglešić, whom she had known casually. "I went, got that certificate, and the rest is history," she recounted.

At 43, Uglešić expressed a shift in her perspective, stating she no longer feels the need to diminish herself to please others. She acknowledged past pressures to downplay her true self but now embraces her identity without the need for a defensive "guard" that might have previously seemed irritating to some.
