Actress Jang Mi-hee Delivers Special Lecture on Acting Aesthetics at Yonsei University

Yonsei University's Humanities and Arts Promotion Program, in collaboration with the National Academy of Arts of Korea, successfully hosted a special lecture featuring renowned actress Jang Mi-hee. The event, held on May 27th at Yonsei University's Weidang Hall auditorium, drew an audience of approximately one hundred citizens and students passionate about Korean cinema.

Under the theme "The Aesthetics of Acting," the lecture featured Jang Mi-hee sharing her insights, moderated by Professor Baek Moon-im of Yonsei University's Department of Korean Language and Literature. The session fostered a dynamic exchange, incorporating questions from the audience and graduate students specializing in Korean cinema.

Professor Baek lauded Jang as "one of the most important figures in post-liberation Korean film history." Since her debut in 1976, Jang has had a prolific career spanning five decades, starring in numerous films and television dramas, including "The Flower at the Equator," "Deep Blue Night," "Hwang Jin Yi," and "The Hymn of Death." She currently serves as the chairperson of the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival organizing committee and holds an honorary professorship in the Department of Theater and Film at Myongji College.
