Actress Lee Hye-young announces 'graduation' from lung cancer after final check-up

South Korean actress Lee Hye-young has shared positive news regarding her battle with lung cancer. In a YouTube video posted on her channel, "Hye-young is Unstoppable," she revealed the results of her fifth follow-up examination.

Lee, who was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in 2021, expressed relief that her latest tests showed no significant abnormalities. She stated, "I am not completely cured yet. It means it hasn't spread, and for now, I have graduated from lung cancer. But I don't know when or how it might return, so I must always live a healthy life."

She further elaborated on the challenges of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, highlighting stress management as paramount. "The most important thing is to not get stressed, do a lot of aerobic exercise, eat well, and avoid places with bad air," Lee advised. She reiterated that stress is the most critical factor.

Previously, in 2023, Lee mentioned on the MBC variety show "Radio Star" that she underwent lung-resection surgery without chemotherapy and is currently under observation. Her journey highlights the ongoing vigilance required even after significant treatment milestones.
