Actress Soledad Silveyra Reveals Health Struggles After Fall, Remembers Luis Brandoni

Argentine actress Soledad Silveyra has revealed she is not in good health, detailing the ongoing struggles she faces six months after a severe fall. The actress shared on Mirtha Legrand's show that she is suffering from trochanteritis, an inflammation affecting the muscles around her hip, which causes significant pain and limits her mobility.

Silveyra explained that the injury occurred when she tripped over a suitcase after returning from a spa in Punta del Este, falling directly onto her hip. The persistent pain has necessitated modifications to her daily routine, and she now relies on an assistant, Lucila, for help with many activities. The actress also mentioned that the strong painkillers she was taking began to affect her stomach, leading doctors to switch her treatment to a patch.

Despite the challenges, Silveyra expressed hope for a full recovery and a return to the stage. She acknowledged the need for patience and consistent effort, including physical therapy, even when movement is painful. "You know when you're not well and they tell you: 'Walk even if it hurts.' But I can't," she stated, highlighting the difficulty of her condition. She is eager to resume working, expressing how much she misses performing for an audience.

During the conversation, Silveyra also emotionally recalled her late co-star, Luis Brandoni. They had shared the stage for a year and a half in the play "¿Quién es quién?". She recounted that Brandoni suffered a fatal domestic accident shortly after she had to suspend performances due to her own back injury. Brandoni fell from a chair with wheels, sustaining a head injury that led to his death at age 86. Silveyra remembered their strong professional bond and the fantastic relationship they developed during their time on stage together.
