Adams and Chukwueze Set for Serie A Clash as Venezia Visit AC Milan

The San Siro Stadium will host a duel between two Nigerian forwards, Akor Adams and Samuel Chukwueze, as Venezia visits AC Milan to kick off the second matchday of the 2026/27 Italian Serie A season.

Chukwueze, now playing in a wing-back position for AC Milan under coach Ruben Amorim, aims to replicate his impactful debut. He contributed to AC Milan's 2-1 opening-day victory over Torino, where teammates Alphadjo Cisse and Adrien Rabiot scored. His speed and crossing ability are anticipated to pose a significant challenge to Venezia's defense.

Adams arrives at San Siro as Venezia's most expensive signing. He made an immediate impression on his debut for the newly promoted club, scoring twice in a 3-2 Coppa Italia win against Modena. However, Venezia's return to Serie A was marred by a 2-0 home loss to Lecce, a result that left coach Giovanni Stroppa frustrated by two disallowed goals.

AC Milan has historically dominated this fixture, winning their last five encounters with Venezia and maintaining clean sheets in four of those matches. Milan is favored to extend their undefeated streak against Venezia, who will subsequently face Udinese in the Coppa Italia.
