Adeleke's re-election confirms people's trust, says PDP NWC member

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke secured re-election, a victory that Peoples Democratic Party officials hailed as a testament to public confidence.

Adeleke won 19 of the state's 30 local government areas, polling 511,067 votes. The State Returning Officer, Prof Joshua Ogunwole, declared the result on Sunday, following the election held on Saturday.

The victory is a confirmation of the people’s trust in his administration. The outcome of the poll reflected the will of Osun people who came out in large numbers to renew the mandate given to the governor in 2022.

Diran Odeyemi, the PDP National Treasurer, stated that the outcome reflected the will of the people who renewed the mandate given to Adeleke in 2022. He commended the Independent National Electoral Commission and security agencies for their professional conduct, which he said boosted public confidence.

Samuel Oyedotun, a former aspirant for the Osun East Senatorial District, described the victory as "divinely arranged." He urged the governor to use his second term to bring more development to the state, emphasizing infrastructure, worker welfare, youth empowerment, and economic growth.
