Adeleke sings, dances as he receives INEC certificate of return

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has officially received his Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), formalizing his re-election victory. The presentation validates his mandate for a second term in office following the governorship election held on August 15.

Adeleke, who ran on the platform of the Accord party, secured a decisive win by triumphing in 19 out of the state's 30 local government areas. His closest competitor, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress, won in 11 local government areas.

The governor's Special Assistant on Digital Media, Olalekan Badmus, announced the development on X, formerly Twitter. The ceremony marks a significant milestone after Adeleke was declared the winner of the gubernatorial election on Sunday.

Following his re-election, Governor Adeleke addressed the residents, assuring them of his commitment to consolidating his achievements and rectifying past mistakes. The event was marked by celebration, with videos circulating showing Adeleke singing and dancing as he received the INEC certificate.
