Adeleke unveils 10.4km Osun road

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has commissioned the 10.4-kilometer Edunabon-Tonkere Road, a project that revitalizes a critical transport link in the Ife North Local Government Area. The completion of this road marks the end of over four decades of neglect for the area, promising to boost socio-economic activities by connecting communities.

Following the commissioning, Governor Adeleke engaged with traditional rulers in a town hall meeting. The monarchs, represented by the Alakinlalu of Akinlalu, lauded the governor's commitment, expressing surprise and gratitude for the fulfillment of his promises.

When you came and made this promise to us, no one believed you would accomplish what you have done for us today.

Addressing supporters at a campaign rally, Adeleke encouraged residents to remain bold and fearless ahead of the forthcoming governorship election. He stressed that the election's outcome would be determined solely by the people's votes and warned against intimidation and violence, calling on security agencies to uphold democratic values.

We know that Osun belongs to us. You must be bold, be fearless, and nothing will happen to you.

Adeleke's administration has been active in infrastructure development, with the Deputy Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Akinyode Oyewusi, noting that 18.2 kilometers of roads have been completed across Ife North within two years. Oyewusi described the Edunabon-Tonkere Road as a landmark achievement, emphasizing its role in enhancing the movement of people and goods and stimulating economic growth.
