AfD candidate urges supporters to monitor vote count

Ulrich Siegmund, the leading candidate for the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, has encouraged his supporters to actively participate in monitoring the vote count during the upcoming state election in Saxony-Anhalt. Siegmund recommended that citizens go to their polling stations at 6 p.m. on election night to "count along" and ensure the process is "legally sound."

He emphasized that this call for vigilance is intended to prevent any potential accusations of impropriety. Despite his emphasis on monitoring, Siegmund assured that he and his party would accept the outcome of the election, even if they narrowly miss securing an absolute majority.
