Afriland Appoints Ayobami-Ojo as Independent Non-Executive Director

Afriland Properties Plc has appointed Iyabode Olayemi Ayobami-Ojo as an independent non-executive director, adding a former NNPC Properties managing director to its board.

Ayobami-Ojo brings more than three decades of experience across real estate, business services, corporate governance and institutional development. Her career at NNPC Limited culminated in her appointment as managing director of NNPC Properties Limited.

At NNPC Properties, she led the company’s strategic repositioning, strengthened governance, improved commercial performance and pursued initiatives to optimise asset value and support sustainable growth.

Afriland’s managing director and chief executive officer, Azubike Emodi, welcomed the appointment, saying Ayobami-Ojo’s experience would support the company as it executes its strategy, expands its portfolio and seeks to create sustainable value for stakeholders. The company said the appointment reflects its commitment to strong governance, effective board leadership and experienced management as Nigeria’s real estate sector evolves.
