The singer's vitality on stage, despite her age and past health struggles, had a profound impact on Lin.

Lin underwent surgery to remove her left breast on July 13 and recovered quickly, being discharged after four days. A month after her surgery, she returned to Caotun to see Wu perform again. They plan to sing their classic duet, "Love Is Not Possession," together next time.
