Anderson Talisca sent a pointed message after Fenerbahce's 2-1 defeat by Besiktas, just after his surprise departure from the Istanbul club.

The experienced midfielder played a major role in Fenerbahce's qualification for the Champions League league phase. His contract with the yellow-and-navy side was then terminated, and he signed a two-year deal with Al Jazira in the United Arab Emirates.

After the derby defeat, the 32-year-old used his X account to write: "Everything that leaves comes back. Do you want to be successful? Do it with humility and character, not with your own ego, and do what is right. At the end of the day, our actions always reveal who we really are."

The post drew attention because it came after Fenerbahce's loss to Besiktas and followed his unexpected transfer away from the club.
