Aguascalientes recognized nationally for health initiatives

Aguascalientes, Mexico, has earned national recognition for its advancements in healthcare, securing three prestigious awards for its innovative projects and actions. Among these accolades is a groundbreaking model developed at the Centenario Hospital Miguel Hidalgo (CHMH) designed to enhance the treatment of chronic wounds in patients suffering from diabetes and hypertension.

The "Integral Model of Wound Clinic" meticulously analyzes the progression of patients with chronic wounds. It also scrutinizes the adherence to protocols aimed at optimizing treatments and minimizing risks during medical care. The state's Health Secretary, Rubén Galaviz Tristán, emphasized that these achievements underscore the ongoing commitment to elevating service quality, ensuring patient safety, and fostering innovation within the healthcare system.

Another significant award was presented for the project "Reducing Cardiovascular Risk through a Multidisciplinary Support Network Intervention in Diabetic and Hypertensive Patients at the Primary Care Level." This initiative focuses on identifying risk factors, improving medical follow-up, and proactively preventing cardiovascular complications. The project involves the Quality Directorate of the state Health Secretariat and several Urban Health Centers, alongside the General Hospital of Calvillo.

Additionally, Miriam Guadalupe Castillo Martínez, the state coordinator for Social Work and Management at ISSEA, received recognition for her comprehensive support and care provided to individuals, families, and communities. This marks the third consecutive year Aguascalientes has been honored with national health quality awards, a testament to sustained efforts in improving healthcare services.
