Águilas Metropolitanas and Federales de Chiriquí to contest Probeis Kids 2026 baseball final

The Probeis Kids 2026 youth baseball tournament is heading to a championship final after two hard-fought semifinals. The Águilas Metropolitanas and the Federales de Chiriquí emerged victorious, setting up a decisive clash for the title.

In a game played at MVP Sport City, the Águilas Metropolitanas secured a 5-3 win over the Vikingos. The decisive moment came in the bottom of the fifth inning when the Águilas scored four runs. Axel Valdés earned the win on the mound, pitching five and a third innings, allowing six hits and three runs while striking out seven. Joshua Reyna took the loss for the Vikingos.

Meanwhile, at the Academia Mariano Rivera in La Chorrera, the Federales de Chiriquí pitched a shutout against Leña Roja de Coclé, winning 3-0. The Federales' pitching staff limited their opponents to just three hits. Luis Urriola was credited with the win, delivering five and two-thirds innings of work with five strikeouts and three walks. Eynar De León was the losing pitcher.

The final match between the Águilas Metropolitanas and the Federales de Chiriquí is scheduled for Saturday, June 6, at MVP Sport City, beginning at 10:00 a.m. The winning team will not only be crowned champion of the Probeis Kids 2026 tournament but will also earn the right to represent Panama in the Caribbean Series Kids, which will be held in Mexico in August.
