AICM Authorized Taxis to Offer Up to 18% Discounts; Frequent Travelers to Benefit

Authorized taxis operating at the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) will now provide discounts of up to 18% on fares. This reduction applies to services including loyalty programs and benefits for frequent travelers. The initiative stems from agreements reached between AICM management and licensed taxi cooperatives aimed at strengthening the transportation service. According to a statement from the Secretariat of the Navy (SEMAR), which manages AICM, this measure is a collaborative effort to reduce operational costs and boost the sector's competitiveness. The aim is to pass these savings directly onto passengers who use the airport daily. SEMAR emphasized its commitment to offering improved conditions and more competitive rates for airport users. Further enhancing the passenger experience, AICM plans to renovate a multimodal parking facility near Terminal 2. This renovation will include the establishment of a new taxi base and administrative offices for the authorized taxi groups. Various operational and infrastructural adjustments are also planned to improve service conditions, operational organization, and user support.
