Al Ahly registers Moroccan duo Dari and Slim amid transfer uncertainty

Egyptian club Al Ahly has decided to register Moroccan internationals Achraf Dari and Reda Slim in its squad for the upcoming season. This move comes after the club could not finalize transfer agreements for the players during the summer window.

An Al Ahly source explained that registering the players is a measure to protect the club's rights and avoid any issues related to their non-registration. The club, however, has stated that it remains open to listening to offers for either player should they arrive in the near future.

Reda Slim had previously rejected a loan proposal to Al Masry, preferring to stay with his former club. Al Ahly did not accept the offer from the Moroccan club due to its reluctance to cover a significant portion of the player's salary. Slim's re-registration also serves as a replacement for his compatriot Youssef Bellamri, who is sidelined for the season with a cruciate ligament tear.

Despite the transfer window closing in Egypt, the potential departure of Dari or Slim to Morocco, where Wydad and AS FAR are reportedly interested, or to the Libyan league, which still has an open transfer market, remains a possibility.
