Aleatica Addresses Flooding on Mexico's Circuito Exterior Mexiquense After Heavy Rains

Following intense rainfall and a third overflow of a pumping station in June, residents of Cuautitlán Izcalli blocked the Circuito Exterior Mexiquense (CEM) toll road, protesting the resulting flooding that affected homes and the highway. The municipal government had previously pointed to failures in the pumping station managed by Aleatica, the highway operator.

In response to the disruptions and damage, Aleatica announced the activation of operational and maintenance measures aimed at mitigating risks and preserving user safety. The company stated that preventive and corrective teams are conducting ongoing cleaning, desilting, and monitoring in areas most affected by the heavy rains.

Aleatica also deployed pumping equipment to expedite the restoration of normal conditions on the highway.
