Alejandro Moreno says PRI will win in 2027 coalition: “They want to silence us because they are defeated”

Alejandro Moreno used the presentation of President Claudia Sheinbaum’s second government report to call for a broad opposition alliance in Mexico. The PRI leader urged all “free” parties and lawmakers to unite, defeat Morena and remove its congressional majority in the 2027 federal elections.

Moreno appealed directly to the PAN and Movimiento Ciudadano, saying Mexico’s difficult situation left no room for narrow party interests or political calculations. He described Morena’s eight years in government as having produced a country that is divided, fractured, indebted, stagnant and immersed in violence.
