The Eastern region, particularly Skikda, is seeing intensive activity with the reinforcement of the RN 44A and the duplication of the strategic RN 85 and 03 routes. In the Hauts-Plateaux, Oum El Bouaghi is undergoing maintenance on key transit routes, while Béchar addresses urgent rehabilitation needs following recent floods and the long-awaited expansion of the Tenkroud bridge.

Constantine, the capital of the East, is nearing the completion of its road duplication projects on the RN 79 and 27, which are expected to significantly ease traffic congestion in this densely populated city.
