The Alishan Mountain Villa Coffee Elite Exchange Competition (A-Liu-Sai) recently announced its results, and the award ceremony and participating bean matchmaking event were held yesterday at the Alishan Disaster Shelter in Chiayi County.

While the overall yield was down this year due to challenging weather patterns and necessary agricultural practices, the quality of the beans remained consistently high, earning praise from the expert judging panel. This scarcity, coupled with the superior flavor profiles, has driven up prices, making Alishan coffee a valuable commodity. The success of the bean matchmaking event, where all 1,315 kilograms of participating beans were sold for a total of NT$5.523 million, demonstrates the strong interest from buyers and the continued growth of Taiwan's specialty coffee industry.
