All Kick-off Times for Los Leones at the 2026 World Cup

Argentina's men's national field hockey team, known as Los Leones, are participating in their 15th World Cup, hosted in Belgium and the Netherlands until August 30. The team's objective is to achieve a significant victory, echoing their success a decade ago when they won gold at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

Competing in Group A, Los Leones will play their initial matches at the Wagener Hockey Stadium in Amstelveen, Netherlands. Their tournament opener is scheduled for Sunday, August 16, against Japan at 2 p.m. Argentine time. Two days later, they face the host nation, considered one of the top contenders for the championship, at 1 p.m. The final group stage match is on Thursday, August 20, against New Zealand at 7:30 a.m., a game noted as potentially challenging due to the five-hour time difference between Argentina and the Netherlands.

All matches featuring Los Leones will be broadcast live on ESPN and available online via Flow, DGO, and Telecentro Play, as well as on the Disney+ Premium platform. Should Argentina secure first or second place in their group, they will advance to the next phase, a four-team group stage. In that round, they would play the two teams they haven't faced from their initial group. Finishing as group leader or runner-up would qualify them for the semifinals.

If they finish third or fourth in the initial stage, Los Leones will compete for ninth place in a similar format. The current squad, managed by Lucas Rey, includes players such as Matías Andreotti, Bautista Capurro, and Maico Casella, among others. Reserves include Tobías Martins and Iñaki Minadeo.
