Alleged "La Barredora" Member "El Comandante Blas" Arrested in Tabasco; Weapons and Drugs Seized

In a significant operation targeting organized crime, the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC) of Tabasco has apprehended Blasimiro "N", widely known as "El Comandante Blas." This former state police officer is alleged to be a key member of the notorious criminal group "La Barredora" and was considered a high-priority target in the state's security strategy. The arrest marks a notable success for the "Plan de Contención del Delito" (Crime Containment Plan) and demonstrates the effectiveness of inter-agency collaboration.

The operation, conducted in coordination with the "Fuerza Interinstitucional de Reacción Táctica (FIRT) Olmeca," took place in the municipality of Centro, specifically in the Prados de Villahermosa neighborhood. "El Comandante Blas" is not only suspected of belonging to "La Barredora" but is also believed to be a lieutenant to one of the group's leaders. His alleged involvement in serious criminal activities, including violations of the General Health Law and the Federal Law on Firearms and Explosives, led to his designation as a priority objective.

During the arrest, authorities seized a substantial cache of illegal items. These included a long firearm, numerous rounds of ammunition, and various packaged substances suspected to be marijuana, methamphetamine (crystal), and cocaine. Additionally, a vehicle with a potentially altered serial number and bearing Tabasco license plates was impounded. The detained individual, along with the confiscated evidence, has been handed over to the competent judicial authority for further legal proceedings.
