Alleged "Los Madame" members "El Chayanne" and "La Patrona" face drug dealing charges

A judge has ordered Julián "N," alias “El Chayanne,” and Maricarmen "N," alias “La Patrona,” to stand trial for drug trafficking offenses. The pair are accused of being members of the criminal group known as "Los Madame," which allegedly operates a drug trade in Mexico City's Iztapalapa and Tláhuac boroughs.

Both defendants have been placed under preventive detention, meaning they will remain in custody while the investigation proceeds. The court has set a one-month period for the completion of the complementary investigation. The Capital Attorney General's Office (FGJ) reported that Julián and Maricarmen were apprehended by the capital's police on June 27 in the Santa María Aztahuacán neighborhood of Iztapalapa.

According to the FGJ, the couple was found in possession of multiple doses of illicit substances at the time of their arrest. Intelligence gathered by authorities identified the detainees as alleged members of the "Los Madame" cell. The prosecution presented the collected evidence during a hearing on July 3, leading the judge to rule for the defendants to be processed.
