Alleged theft of meat and chicken reported at Caracas university hospital

A citizen reported the alleged removal of bags of meat and chicken from the University Hospital of Caracas, saying the food was intended for hospital staff.

The person filmed the scene from outside the hospital and questioned the men carrying black bags. They said the food was being taken to the building’s basement. Another man, addressed as a “commissioner,” told the carriers to continue and ignore the complaints while defending himself against accusations of irregularities.

These are the people who take away workers’ livelihoods. When workers come to get their food, there is none, because they give them only one day to collect it. And why do they give them only one day? To play this game.

The complainant accused those involved of depriving workers of their food and said staff were given only one day to collect it. “This is going to the Prosecutor’s Office. This is going to the Public Ministry,” the person said, promising to take legal action from Monday.
