Allied Protection Foundation Aids Hurricane-Hit School in Jamaica

The Allied Protection Foundation extended a helping hand to DRB Grant Demonstration Basic School in Catherine Hall, St. James, Jamaica, providing assistance for restoration efforts following devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa. The school, located in the southwestern part of the island, was among the many educational institutions impacted by the Category 5 hurricane on October 28 last year.

A team from the foundation traveled west on Saturday to engage in restoration work as part of their Labour Day 2026 activities. This initiative underscores the foundation's ongoing commitment to supporting early childhood education and communities affected by natural disasters across Jamaica. The foundation highlighted its dedication to these causes in a press release issued on Thursday.

In collaboration with JN Foundation, Rainbow Appliances, and Maa Sai Enterprise Limited, the Allied Protection Foundation's workers undertook tasks such as painting and creating murals at the school. Additionally, the foundation donated a 1,000-gallon water tank and a 32-inch smart television to aid the school's recovery and daily operations. The Allied Foundation has consolidated its major charitable initiatives, including a breakfast program at Clan Carthy Primary School and the Donald Williams Scholarship, under its newly established umbrella.
